The Resident Advisory Board (RAB) provides the Public Housing Authority (PHA) and the residents with a forum for sharing information about the Agency’s Annual Plan.  Section 511 of the United States Housing Act and the regulations in 24CFR part 903 require that PHAs establish one or more Resident Advisory Board(s) (RAB) as part of the PHA Plan process.  RAB membership is comprised of individuals who reflect and represent the residents assisted by the PHA.  The main role of the RAB is to make recommendations in the development of the PHA Plan.

NSP Home for Sale

On September 30, 2014, the Board of Commissioners approved the Loan Agreement between the Housing Authority of the County of Riverside (HACR) and the County of Riverside for the use of Neighborhood Stabilization Program 3 funds in the rehabilitation and resale of a single family home to a low-, moderate- and middle-income (LMMI) or very low-income (VLI) first-time home buyer. The three bedroom and two bathroom home is located at 9411 Geordie Way, Jurupa Valley, CA 92509 and the purchase price is $230,270.00. Click here for Details.

Purchase price assistance is available to a maximum of 30% of the purchase price of the home not to exceed $75,000. NSP funds can be used as a silent second loan that will be used as gap financing to 1) reduce the amount of first mortgage required in qualifying for the home and 2) can also be used to pay for up to 3% of the sales price to pay for closing costs on behalf of the homebuyer. Provided that the homebuyer is not in default, the loan shall be forgiven and the equity of the property shall be relinquished by the County of Riverside fifteen (15) years from the date of the close of escrow.

Earned Income Credit and Child Tax Credit

The Board of Commissioners meets each Tuesday at 11 am during regularly scheduled meetings of the Board of Supervisors. This meeting is held at the County Administrative Center located at 4080 Lemon Street, Riverside, California.
