The Housing Authority of the County of Riverside is a public agency chartered by the State of California to administer the development, rehabilitation or financing of affordable housing programs. The primary mission of the Housing Authority is to provide affordable decent, safe and sanitary housing opportunities to low and moderate income families including elderly and handicapped persons, while supporting programs to foster economic self-sufficiency. The Housing Authority has been serving Riverside County for over 60 years.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Housing Authority of the County of Riverside’s Agency Plan, which includes the Five-Year Plan, Capital Fund Program, Administrative Plan, Homeownership Plan and Statement of Policies, is available for review at offices located at 5555 Arlington Avenue, Riverside CA 92504 and 44-199 Monroe, Suite B, Indio, CA 92201. It is also located on the Housing Authority website: www.harivco.org Written public comment may be directed to the Housing Authority of the County of Riverside, Attn: Director, 5555 Arlington Avenue, Riverside, CA 92504. A public hearing to solicit public comment and feedback will be held on Tuesday, February 28, 2012, at 1:30 pm, in the meeting room of the Board of Supervisors, Riverside County, Administrative Center, 4080 Lemon Street, First Floor, Riverside, California.

HOMES FOR SALE
The Housing Authority of the County of Riverside (HACR) has partnered with other agencies to help families purchase homes in Riverside County through the Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP). These homes were foreclosed homes that were purchased at a required minimum discount, rehabilitated to meet Housing Quality Standards, and are now available for sale to qualified first-time homebuyers.
Homebuyer Qualifications:
- Must be a first-time homebuyer
- Must have low-moderate income (Income Limits)
- Must meet Housing Authority NSP Occupancy Standards
- Must qualify for a loan through a 'primary' lender
- Must attend a 8 hour HUD certified homebuyer education program (HUD Approved Housing Counseling Agencies)
The Housing Authority of the County of Riverside (HACR) is partnering with other agencies to help families purchase homes in Riverside County through the Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP). We will soon have homes available for sale within the NSP Target Areas. The homebuyer qualifications are:
- Must be a first-time homebuyer
- Must have low – moderate income
- Must qualify for a loan through a primary lender
- Must attend a 8 hour HUD certified homebuyer counseling session.

Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing
Are you currently homeless or facing homelessness in the next two weeks? The Housing Authority is now offering a new program for households who are facing a temporary housing crisis due to a decrease in income. The Homeless Prevention and Rapid Re-housing Program (HPRP) is available to low-income households (50% or below the Area Median Income--AMI) who have the ability to be self-sufficient in a very short period of time.
