Earned Income Credit and Child Tax Credit Minimize

If you file a tax return for 2017, you may qualify for Earned Income Credit (EIC) of up to about $6,000 if you worked and/or a Child Tax Credit (CTC) of about $1,000 per child if you have minor children who lived with you. Click below for more information: http://www.eitcoutreach.org/learn/tax-credits/earned-income-tax-credit/

   Medical Insurance Coverage Minimize

If you don’t have insurance, a new tax credit could cover most of the cost of a new plan. The deadline for 2017 plans is over. Some people without insurance may face a penalty. If you still want coverage for the rest of 2017: See if you qualify for a Special Enrollment Period due to a life event like losing other coverage, getting married, or having a baby. For more information on the Special Enrollment Period, please visit: https://www.healthcare.gov/glossary/special-enrollment-period/

See if you qualify for Medicaid or the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP). You can apply for these programs any time. The 2018 Open Enrollment Period runs from November 1, 2017 to December 15, 2017. Get more information at 1-800-318-2596 or www.HealthCare.gov .
