Homeless Point In Time(PIT) Count
Homeless Point-in-Time Count
Each year, the Riverside County Continuum of Care (CoC) partners with cities to facilitate the federally mandated count of people experiencing homelessness throughout Riverside County. Information gathered from the count is valuable because it provides a snapshot of how many people experience sheltered and unsheltered homelessness on a single night. The data is used to demonstrate need for federal and state funding, services, and resource planning, and to inform the community about homelessness.
2022 Homeless Point-in-Time Count Community Planning Sessions
The virtual community planning meetings convene key leaders and stakeholders, service providers, law enforcement, and non-profit agencies to begin planning the count in 2022. Discussions include outreach and engagement strategies, location mapping, mobile survey development and identification of deployment sites.
